FUEL SYSTEM (Program m ed Fuel Inj ection)
Connect the ohmmeter t o the engine stop relay con-
nector te rm ina ls.
CONN ECTION: Red/White - Black/White
Connect th e 12 V battery to the following engine sto p
relay connector term inals.
CONNECTION: Red/Orange - Black
Ther e sho uld be conti nuity o nly w he n th e 12 V batt ery
is connected.
If t he re is no co ntin uity w he n the 12 V batt ery is co n-
nect ed, replace t he engine sto p rel ay.

REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Rem ove th e rear cowl (page 2-2).
Disco nnect the ECM 22P (Black) and 22P (Lig ht gray)
connectors.
POWER/GROUND LINE INSPECTION
Co nn ect t he test harn ess between the ma in wire har-
ness and ECM (page 5-7).
TOOL :
ECU te st harness 07VMZ-0010l00
(two requ ired)
GROUND LINE
Check fo r co nti nuity between the ECM test harn ess
connector
A9
t ermi nal and ground, between t he A 20
te rmi nal and ground, and between t he A12 te rm ina l
and g ro und.
Th ere sho uld be co nt inui ty at all ti m es.
If th ere is no cont inuit y, check for an open circuit in
Green/Pink wire and Gre en wi re.
POWER INPUT LINE
Turn the ig nition switc h ON w ith the eng ine stop
switc h in the RUN pos it ion .
M easure th e vo lt age between th e ECM te st harn ess
conn ecto r 8 6 t erminal
(+)
and gro und .
Th ere should be battery voltage.
If there is no v oltag e, check for an o pen circuit in
Black/Wh ite wi re bet w een t he ECM and ban k ang le
se nso r/relay .
If t he w ire is OK, ch eck fo r the bank angle sensor/relay
(page 5-76).
