REMOVAL
Remove the side cover (page 2-2
).
Loosen the fuel tank mounting
bolt/nut.
Do not remove
the maintenance
wire bolt yet.
Slide the fuel tank t
o t
he
backward.
Open the f
ront
end of the fuel tank and support it
using a suitable
support .
Tighten the fuel tank
mounting
bolt/nut to
t
he speci
-
fie
d
torqu
e.
TORQUE:
12

Disconnect the fuel tank air vent hose and overflow
tube.
Remove
t
he fuel hose sealing nut and sealing wash
-
ers, then
disconnect
the fuel hose (page
5-4
4).
NOTE:
Do not apply excessive force to the fue
l
pipe.
• Always hold the fuel pipe nut while removing the
fuel hose sealing nut.
Temporarily install the 12 X 30 mm bolt (pitch
1.251
and sealing washers to the fuel hose banjo, then
tight-
en the sealing
nut.
