FUEL SYSTEM (Programmed Fuel Inj ection)
Rem ove the rear cow l (page 2-3).
INSPECTION
Disconnect the ECM 22P (Black) and 22P (Light gray)
connectors.
Check the connector fo r loose or corroded terminals.
Connect the ECU test harness between the ECM and
main wire harness.

If the measurement is out of specification, check the
fol lowing:
- Loose connection of the ECM multi-connector
- Open circuit in wire harness
1. IN PUT VOLTAGE INSPECTION
Turn the ignition switch ON and measure and recor d
the input voltage at the test harness terminals using a
d igita l multimeter.

2. OUTPUT VO LTA GE INSPECTION WITH THROTTLE
FULLY OPEN
Turn the ig niti o n switch ON and measure and reco rd
the output voltage at the test harness terminals.

3. OUTPUT VOLTA GE INSPECTION WITH THROTTLE
FULLY CLOSED
Turn the ign ition switch ON and measure and record
the output voltage with the throttle fu lly closed .
