Configuration and Image Commands

configure wireless ports image-configuration runtime

configure wireless ports [<portlist> | all] image-configuration runtime
[<hostname> } ip address>] <filename>]
Description
Use this command to configure the TFTP server and path information for downloading the runtime
image location to an access point.
Syntax Description
portlist
Specifies one or more ports or slots and ports. Can be one or more port numbers. May be
in the form 1, 2, 1:2, 3-5.
all
Specifies all ports.
hostname
Specifies the hostname of the TFTP server that contains the runtime image.
ip address
Specifies the IP address of the TFTP server that contains the runtime image.
filename
Specifies the path and filename information for the specified image on the TFTP server.
Default
By default the TFTP server and filename are set to null.
Usage Guidelines
Use this command to upgrade the runtime image in an Altitude 300 Access Point.
Example
The following example configures a wireless port to download an ExtremeWare runtime image file from
the TFTP server called tftphost:
configure wireless ports 1:1 mode ExtremeWare
configure wireless ports 1:1 image runtime tftphost ART-7_5_8.bin
The following example configures a wireless port to download a SummitWM runtime image file from
the TFTP server called tftphost:
configure wireless ports 1:1 mode SummitWM
configure wireless ports 1:1 image runtime tftphost A300-1.1.3.00.03.img
History
This command was first available in ExtremeWare 7.5.
Platform Availability
This command is available on the Summit 300-48, Summit 300-24, Summit 400-24p, and Alpine
switches.
