PTX5000 AC Power Cord Specifications

Most sites distribute power through a main conduit that leads to frame-mounted power distribution
panels, one of which can be located at the top of the rack that houses the router. An AC power cord
connects the power distribution units (PDUs) to the power distribution panel. Detachable AC power
cords, each 4.5 m (approximately 14.8 ft) long, are supplied with the router and power distribution units
(PDUs). The plug end of the power cord fits into the power source receptacle for your geographical
location.
NOTE: In North America, AC power cords must not exceed 4.5 m (approximately 14.8 ft) in
length, to comply with National Electrical Code (NEC) Sections 400-8 (NFPA 75, 5-2.2) and
210-52, and Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) Section 4-010(3). The cords supplied with the router
are in compliance.
Each AC PDU has a metal wiring compartment that contains the AC terminal block and ground.
• The delta AC terminal block consists of three input terminals labeled L1, L2, and L3, from left to right.
• The wye AC terminal block consists of four input terminals labeled L1, L2, L3, and N, from left to
right.
