Problem
Description
The following alarms and LEDs indicate a problem with a host subsystem Control Board or Routing
Engine:
Table 91 on page 606
Table 92 on page 607
Solution
To troubleshoot the host subsystems:
1. Check the LEDs on the craft interface.
If the red HOST0 FAIL or HOST1 FAIL LED is lit, look at the LCD on the craft interface to get more
information about the cause of the problem.
2. Check the LEDs on the faceplate of each Control Board and Routing Engine. See
the PTX5000 Control Boards" on page 611
page
607.
3. Use the CLI to check for alarms. Issue the show chassis alarms command to view the alarms.
In
Table 91 on page
606, the text in the column labeled "LCD Message" appears in the display of the
craft interface. The text in the column labeled "CLI Message" appears in the output from the
show chassis alarms command.
