Removing a PTX5000 Control Board
To remove a Control Board (see
1. Place an electrostatic bag or antistatic mat on a flat, stable surface.
2. Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect the strap to
one of the ESD points on the chassis.
3. Label and disconnect the cables.
4. Remove the Routing Engine from the Control Board.
5. Rotate the ejector handles counterclockwise on both sides of the Control Board faceplate.
6. Grasp the ejector handles and slide the Control Board about halfway out of the chassis.
7. Place one hand underneath the Control Board to support it and slide it completely out of the chassis.
Place it on the antistatic mat.
