9. Using a number 2 Phillips (+) screwdriver, loosen the captive screws that secure the metal retaining
bracket and AC power cord to the PDU. While gently removing the wires of the AC power cord
from the wiring compartment, remove the metal retaining bracket and AC power cord from the
PDU. See Figure 33.

10. Loosen the four captive screws attaching the front PDU handle to the PDU and chassis.
11. Grasp the front PDU handle on the PDU faceplate and pull firmly down toward you. Slide the PDU
halfway out of the chassis until you can reach the installation handle located on top of the PDU.
(See Figure 34).
WARNING: Each PDU weighs approximately 63.3 lb (28.7 kg). Be prepared to
support the full weight of the PDU as you remove it from the PTX5000.
