Installing components

The following topics describe how to install components one at a time. The guided installation guides you
through the installation.

Checking the operating system prerequisites

The following prerequisites must be met if you want to install the server components for a CIE system
successfully.
• You must log in as the correct user with the necessary rights.
• All other Windows applications are closed.
• Write down the users and passwords and keep them in a safe place.

InstallShield scripting engine

You need the InstallShield scripting engine to be able to install WebLM.
To install the InstallShield scripting engine, follow these steps.
1. The guided installation is started. Select InstallShield Scripting Engine.
2. Click Install. The Welcome dialog opens.
3. Click Next. The License Agreement dialog opens.
4. Select
5. Click Next. The Ready to Install the Program dialog opens.
6. Click Install. The installation takes about five seconds.
7. Click Finish. The installation is complete.
