Installing the client components

A bootstrapper is provided for the client components to save you from having to install the components
individually in a specified order. The bootstrapper installs all required components for an agent (client).
Perform the following steps to install the client components.

Step 1: Launch the bootstrapper.

You need a data medium (CIE or network) with the corresponding software. The on-screen installation
instructions are in English.
1. Select the folder with the installation files (CIE DVD or network).
2. Double-click Contact Center Client Package.exe. The Customer Interaction Express Contact
Center Client Package dialog opens.
3. Click Next. The End User License Agreement dialog opens.

5. Click Next. The Package contents dialog opens. A table shows the components to be installed. The
name and version information is displayed.

6. Click Install to install the corresponding components. The components are installed. For information
on how to do so, see the following steps: If a component is up-to-date, the corresponding step is
omitted.

Step 2: Install the base components.

To install the base components, follow these steps.
1. The bootstrapper is launched. The Customer Interaction Express Base Components dialog opens.
If you install the base components without a bootstrapper, you must accept the license
agreement.
2. Click Next. The Ready to Install dialog opens.
3. Click Install. The Installing Base Components dialog opens. The installation takes about a minute.
The files are copied to c:\Program Files\Common Files\Base Components.
4. Click Finish to complete the installation.
