Cleaning Cartridges

Do not use alcohol in the nozzle plate area. Alcohol in this area
will cause damage to the ink Cartridge.
CAUTION
1. Remove the Cartridge from the Cartridge Holder.
2. Press lightly against the jets with a moistened (with water),
lint-free, non-paper cloth (do not use tissues) until ink is released
from the Cartridge.
Blot, do not wipe, the jet area. Wiping may damage the jet area.
CAUTION
Gently blot any excess ink, reinstall Cartridge, and run PRIME. It
may be necessary to run the PRIME plot several times in order to
obtain a satisfactory plot.

3. If the Cartridge continues to misfire, remove the Cartridge again.
Use an ultrasonic cleaner (the type used to clean technical pens or
jewelry, typically found in drafting supply stores or department
stores) with water (distilled water preferred but not necessary).
Hold the bottom end (nozzle plate end) of the Cartridge in the
water.

The green end of the Tri-Color Cartridge should never be
inserted in the ultrasonic cleaner.
Do not allow the Cartridge nozzle plate to rest on the bottom
of the ultrasonic cleaner.
