Adjustments Prior to Calibration

Note:
NOTE
The following steps must be performed after unplugging the plotter:
1. Power-up the Digital Carriage Height Measurement System per
instructions in the manufacturer's manual (MITUTOYO User's
Manual).
2. Wipe clean the Encoder Strip's top surface (no cleaning fluid).
See
maintenance procedures for the Encoder Strip.
3. Wipe clean the Slide Shaft with a lint-free cloth (Scott Rags-In-A-
Box or equivalent). See Chapter 3, Section 3.0.
4. Remove the Trailing Cable Support.

Unplug the plotter from the power supply.
For static control, you must be grounded to a static station
by a wrist strap.

The procedures given in Sections 6.1 and 6.2 are for use with
the MITUTOYO system. A new dial micrometer adjustment
gauge will be available shortly to replace the MITUTOYO
system.
