Slide Shaft Profile Adjustment

Note:
NOTE
The purpose of this procedure is to verify the absolute height and
profile of the Slide Shaft with respect to the Platen. You will need the
following:

1. Prior to performing any test, park the Carriage on the Service
Station.
2. Holding the gauge in your hand, push (in this sequence) the
ZERO, PSET, and LOAD buttons on the display unit. It should
read: 1.5340.
3. Install the Shaft/Platen Profile Measurement Fixture on the Slide
Shaft. Make sure that the tip of the probe touches the Platen.
4. Once the gauge is installed:

This procedure is for use with the MITUTOYO system. A
new dial micrometer adjustment gauge will be available
shortly to replace the MITUTOYO system.

MITUTOYO's

MITUTOYO's Linear Gauge Counter, LGm1E, code #542-330.
A copy of the CADJET 2 Calibration Worksheet (see
Figure Chapter 6 .16), which will be referred to as "the
Calibration Worksheet."
lift the gauge,
move it to the right, and
park it at the starting position (aligned with the Inner
Stand Off Screw - see Figure Chapter 6 .2).
This will allow you to obtain the most stable reading.
Record the display's reading in the box marked "RIGHT" in
Part 1 of the Calibration Worksheet.
