CAUTION - Reminders of importance that must be addressed, but may
or may not cause minor damage, are highlighted with the "Caution"

symbol at the left and with a cautionary note in bold type and is
enclosed in a box.
NOTE - Notes are placed before or after a procedure to inform the

service person of specific details to improve quality, to give
reminders of inter-related parts, and to provide other helpful
information. They are indicated by the "Note" symbol at the left.
The text of the note is in italics and is enclosed in a box.
ORIENTATION - Instructions in this manual are based on the
assumption that the service person is facing the front of the plotter.
References to top view, back view, and so forth are consistent with
this engineering standard. References to the X Axis and Y Axis
(Paper Axis and Carriage Axis, respectively) follow the standard of
AutoCAD™ absolute coordinates: up and down for X, left to right
for Y.
