13.0 Cutter Wheel

13.1

Removing the Cutter Wheel

Be very careful whenever you handle the Cutter Assembly. The
Cutter Wheel is extremely sharp.
WARNING
In the event that the Cutter Wheel should become dull, it may be
replaced with a new wheel. It is not necessary to replace the entire
Cutter Assembly. Use the following procedure:
1. Disconnect the power to the plotter.
2. Move the Carriage Assembly to the center of the Platen.
3. Use a pair of needle nose pliers to unhook the spring on the left
side of the Cutter Assembly from the Carriage Assembly.
4. Lift the Cutter Assembly away from the Carriage Assembly.
5. Remove the four screws (Item 9 in Figure Chapter 5 .31) from the
Cover Cutter (Item 2).
6. Remove the Cutter Wheel (Item 7) from the Lower Link Cutter
(Item 4).
