When you remove the far right Upper Roller Support, you
may need to lift up the double-sided tape which holds down
the Trailing Cable at that point on the Stabilizer Bracket so
that the Trailing Cable can be moved slightly to prevent
damage as you remove the Upper Roller Support.
Figure Chapter 5 .20. We recommend using an X-Acto Knife
to lift up the tape (leave the tape attached to the Trailing
Cable).
Before loosening the tape, you should mark its
exact position with a pen or marker.
There is also a tape in the center of the Stabilizer Bracket,
but it should not be necessary to loosen it in order to
remove the Upper Roller Supports near it. If you do need to
loosen it, however, you should not loosen the other tape at
the right-hand side of the Stabilizer Bracket at the same
time. Always mark the exact position of the tapes and leave
one of the tapes in place while the other is loose. Correct
positioning of these tapes is essential for the proper
operation of the Carriage Assembly.
Be sure to press the tape back down again after the roller is
removed. If you have to use a new piece of tape, make sure
it is put down in exactly the same place on the Stabilizer
Bracket by using the Fixture, Trailing Cable, Tape, Location
(P/N 204142).
