Stand

If you need to ship the plotter to ENCAD for servicing, please observe
all the instructions given below. You must contact ENCAD's Technical
Support and Service Department prior to shipping the plotter. See
Chapter 1, Section 3.0.

Removing the Plotter from the Stand

There are two types of stands: a desktop (throwaway) stand and a
floor stand which includes a basket. Some of the directions below
apply only to the floor stand.
1. Disconnect the power cord and interface cables.
2. Lock both of the stand's locking casters if you have the floor stand.
3. Remove any extra SIMMS that have been installed.
Section 4.5.1 "Extra Memory (SIMM) Removal" in this chapter.
4. Remove any roll feed and/or sheet media.
5. Remove both ink Cartridges.
6. Clean both parts of the Service Station.
Section 4.0 for cleaning procedures.
7. Move the Carriage Assembly so that it sits on the Service Station.
See Figure Chapter 5 .3.
8. Insert the Carriage Packing and the Fixed Blade Packing as
shown in Figure Chapter 5 .3. If these are not available, use the
alternate method shown in Section 3.3.
