are secured firmly to the Platen. Refer to Chapter 5, Section 11.4
(Figure 5.26) if necessary.
b. The large 96 Teeth Gear may on the Lower Drive Assembly may
be broken.

The Stepper Motor may be defective.
DIAGNOSTICS Menu and perform the DIAGNOSTICS PAPER
MOTOR test to run the motor from 0 to 1 inches (do not exceed
1 inches) for error results. If the test runs correctly, this is not
causing the grinding noise.

in which case the Stepper Motor will need to be replaced.
d. The MPCB Stepper Driver may be defective. Replace the MPCB.
