Removing the Carriage Belt from Carriage Assembly

Note: 1. All of the procedures covered under this section are based
NOTE
Replace the Carriage Belt if it is frayed, cracked, worn, or otherwise
damaged.
1. Use the tip of a Slotted screwdriver to release the tension on the
end of the metal Belt Clip which goes under the plastic on the
Carriage so that it slides out from under the plastic.

2. Remove the Belt Clip. The Carriage Belt can now be removed.

upon the assumption that the Carriage Assembly has already
been removed from the Slide Shaft. Refer to Sections 8.1
and 8.2 in this chapter if it has not been removed.
2. Once the Carriage Belt has been installed (Section 8.8), refer
to Sections 8.3 and 8.4 in this chapter for reinstallation of the
Carriage Assembly.
