Disassembly/Assembly
Make sure that the silver fingers on the Trailing Cable face up
before inserting the Trailing Cable into the J1 connector lock. See
CAUTION
Figure Chapter 5 .19.
4. Connect the Trailing Cable to the J1 connector lock on the
Carriage PCB. Make sure the silver fingers on the Trailing Cable
face up before inserting it into the lock. See Figure Chapter 5 .19.
Slide both sides of the connector lock shut simultaneously.
5. Press the Trailing Cable down onto the double-sided tape on the
Carriage PCB.
6. Put the tie wrap down into the back hole in the Carriage PCB (see
Figure Chapter 5 .19), feed it up through the front hole, and put
the end through the fastener.
7. Grasp the loose end of the tie wrap next to the fastener with the
side (not the point) of a pair of needlenose pliers. Turn the pliers
away from the fastener in order to pull the tie wrap snug. Cut off
the excess length of the tie wrap.
8. Slide the Carriage Assembly to about the middle of the Slide Shaft
and stretch out the Carriage Belt.
