Memory

Memory is used to retain large amounts of information.
information is stored in the device memory in the form of binary bits.
Plotter memory consists of Flash EPROM, RAM, and EEPROM. Flash
EPROM is Erasable, Programmable, Read Only Memory used to store
instructions and data constants which the microprocessor can access
and interpret, with no loss of information when power is off.
RAM is Random Access Memory which provides temporary storage of
the microprocessor calculation and input/output data.
control program is also copied from the Flash EPROM to RAM where it
can be executed faster.
EEPROM is an Electrically Erasable, Programmable, Read Only
Memory which provides storage for calibration constants and user
configuration data entered from the front panel keys.
Maximum usable memory is as follows:
RAM = 68 MB
Flash EPROM = 1 MB
EEPROM = 1KB
