11.7.1
If the Cartridge has dried up, it will need to be replaced. In order to
prevent this from happening in the future, there are two "preventive
maintenance" procedures that should be done:
1. Check for space between the Cartridge nozzle area and the seals
of the Service Station.

Using a new Cartridge, run the PRIME plot after installing the new
Service Station. You may need to repeat the PRIME two or three
times before a satisfactory plot is obtained.

2. If the Seals are not worn, damaged, or dirty (if ink becomes
encrusted and builds up on seals, the cartridges won't seal
properly -- see Chapter 3, Section 4.0 for cleaning procedure),
check the Cartridge Height Adjustment.

After the Carriage Height has been adjusted, install a new
Cartridge and run the PRIME plot. You may need to repeat the
PRIME two or three times before a satisfactory plot is obtained.
