Plotter Will Not Plot

1. Make sure the ink cartridges are properly seated.
common cause of plot failure is that the ink cartridges are not fully
seated in the Cartridge Covers.
Cartridges must be in contact with the flex cables at the back of
the Carriage Assembly. Pull the levers downward to open the
Cartridge Covers and remove the Cartridges. When reinstalling
them, lower them straight down into the Cartridge Covers and
gently push down and forward so that the Cartridges slide forward
slightly. Push the levers up until they stop (do not use excessive
force).
2. Check for a loose interface Trailing Cable at the Carriage
Assembly or at the Main PCB. See Chapter 5, Section 8.6 for
correct installation procedures.
3. Make sure the system is properly initialized. See Section 8.0 in
this chapter.

Do not press the Cartridge downward too hard. This could
damage the Cartridge Covers.
When installing the Cartridges, lower them straight down
into the Cartridge Covers. Tilting the Cartridges at an angle
may cause damage to the Carriage Flex Cable.
