Reinstalling the Fixed Blade

Note:
NOTE
1. See Figure Chapter 5 .30. Place the Fixed Blade Spacers 2"(13
for E-Size and 9 for D-Size) and the Fixed Blade Spacer 1" into
the groove in the Platen. Be sure to keep all spacers away from
the openings for the Upper Rollers.
2. Place the Fixed Blade into the groove. The right end of the Fixed
Blade should be about 1/2" to the left of the edge of the Service
Station. Make sure that the angled ends of the Fixed Blade
point towards the back of the Platen, as shown in
Figure Chapter 5 .30, to avoid damage to the Cutter.
3. Install the Fixed Blade Clips (14 for E-Size and 10 for D-Size) into
the groove. A Fixed Blade Clip should be placed opposite each
Fixed Blade Spacer. Make sure that the Fixed Blade Clips are
seated all the way to the bottom of the groove. Also make sure
that the Fixed Blade is seated all the way to the bottom of the
Fixed Blade Spacers.
4. Secure the Fixed Blade and the Fixed Blade Spacers (if any came
out during the removal of the Fixed Blade) to the Platen, using the
Blackmax Loctite at the "B" locations shown in Figure Chapter 5
.30.

You will not need to perform this step if all the Fixed Blade
Spacers remained in place during the removal of the Fixed
Blade.
