American Standard Code for Information Interchange. An
information scheme used by computers to represent letters,
numbers, and symbols.
The condition of being correct.
Data which is independent from a clock mechanism.
Beginner's All-Purpose
A common programmer's language for computer systems.
The rate of data transfer (number of bits per second that
data is transmitted or received).
The smallest piece of digital information that can be handled
by a processor. A unit of information equal to one binary
decision.
Cartridges on the plotter fire ink on the media as the
Carriage moves in either direction, right to left and left to
right.
The number system with a base of two used by the internal
logic of all digital computers and controllers. It is a code that
uses two distinct characters, usually the numbers 1 and 0.
A region of memory treated as a rectangular array of pixels.
A single group of 8 bits processed together in parallel.
Generally, eight bits which can be arranged in groups to
represent 256 unique characters.
The part of the plotter's memory used for receiving and
temporarily holding plot files.

Computer Aided Drafting. A computer system or software
designed to generate drawings on hardcopy media.
The procedures for adjusting the ink cartridge alignment, line
length accuracy, and deadband.
