Replacing the Servo Motor

1. Partially reinsert the Servo Motor inside the opening in the bottom
of the Platen.
2. Plug the Servo Motor cable into the connector on the Servo Motor.
Make sure that it snaps into place.
3. Guide the Servo Motor into the Platen.
4. Push the Servo Motor pulley through the Platen and Y-Arm and, at
the same time, rotate the Servo Motor so that the connector is
facing the BACK side of the Platen. Align the screw holes with the
screw hole openings.
5. Insert one screw into the Servo Motor and tighten it slightly.
6. Insert the second screw into the Servo Motor and tighten it. Make
sure both screws are tight.
7. Compress the back of the Frame Tensioner with your left index
finger and wrap the Carriage Belt over the Servo Motor pulley.
Make sure that the three guides on the inside of the belt are
inserted in the three pulley grooves.
8. Move the Carriage Assembly back and forth to check the Carriage
Belt tension.
9. Reinstall the Trailing Cable Cover and the Top Cover.

Make sure that the wires of the Servo Motor cable are not
scraped against the opening in the bottom of the Platen
during the reinstallation of the Servo Motor to avoid
accidentally cutting them.
Also, make certain that the connector on the Servo Motor
faces the BACK of the Platen. If the connector faces the
front of the Platen, the cable will be stretched too tight and
may be damaged.
