Step 4 Create RRPP rings.
l Configure UPEA.
l Configure UPEB.
l Configure UPEC.
l Configure PE-AGG.
Step 5 Enable RRPP.
After configuring an RRPP ring, you need to enable RRPP on each node on the ring to activate
the RRPP ring. The configuration procedure is as follows:
l Configure UPEA.
l Configure UPEB.
l Configure UPEC.
l Configure PE-AGG.

[PE-AGG-rrpp-domain-region1] quit
# Configure UPEA as a transit node of ring 1 in domain 1 and specify primary and secondary
interfaces.
[UPEA] rrpp domain 1
[UPEA-rrpp-domain-region1] ring 1 node-mode transit primary-port ethernet 0/0/1
secondary-port ethernet 0/0/2 level 0
[UPEA-rrpp-domain-region1] ring 1 enable
[UPEA-rrpp-domain-region1] quit
# Configure UPEB as a transit node of ring 1 in domain 1 and specify primary and secondary
interfaces.
[UPEB] rrpp domain 1
[UPEB-rrpp-domain-region1] ring 1 node-mode transit primary-port ethernet 0/0/1

[UPEB-rrpp-domain-region1] ring 1 enable
[UPEB-rrpp-domain-region1] quit
# Configure UPEC as a transit node of ring 1 in domain 1 and specify primary and secondary

[UPEC-rrpp-domain-region1] ring 1 node-mode transit primary-port ethernet 0/0/1

[UPEC-rrpp-domain-region1] ring 1 enable

# Configure PE-AGG as the master node of ring 1 in domain 1, Eth 0/0/1 as the primary
interface, and Eth 0/0/2 as the secondary interface.
[PE-AGG] rrpp domain 1
[PE-AGG-rrpp-domain-region1] ring 1 node-mode master primary-port ethernet 0/0/1
secondary-port ethernet 0/0/2 level 0
[PE-AGG-rrpp-domain-region1] ring 1 enable
[PE-AGG-rrpp-domain-region1] quit
# Enable RRPP.
[UPEA] rrpp enable
# Enable RRPP.
[UPEB] rrpp enable
