Create a new hotspot
Required configuration items
A device or bridge for the hotstpot.
n
If a bridge is used, it must be included in an interface with an assigned IP address.
l
The authentication mode:
n
If Local shared password is selected for the authentication mode, include the password.
l
If RADIUS shared password or RADIUS users is selected for the authentication mode,
l
include RADIUS configuration information.
If HotspotSystem is selected for the authentication mode, include HotspotSystem
l
configuration information.

n The login page source, either Local or Remote.
If Remote is selected, include the IP address of fully-qualified domain name of the remote
l
web server that serves the login page.
n An IP address and subnet for the hotspot.
Additional configuration items
If the login page source is Local, include the name of the local HTML file, if different than the
n
default.
If the login page source is Remote, include the shared secret that the remote server and the
n
hotspot. Used with cloud-based hotspot providers.
n The Authentication port used by the hotspot.
n The Server port used by the hotspot.
n Hotspot DHCP server settings:
Lease time.
l
Lease range start and end.
l
n Walled garden configuration:
Domains that clients connected to the hotspot can access prior to the client being
l
authenticated.
Subnets that clients connected to the hotspot can access prior to the client being
l
authenticated.
n Maximum download speed, in Kbps.
n Maximum upload speed, in Kbps.
n Enable verbose logging.
To create a new hotspot:

