Restoring factory default can also be performed by making a physical loopback between port
:
1 and port 2 within the first minute from switch reboot. In the first minute after boot, 'loopback'
packets will be transmitted at port 1. If a 'loopback' packet is received at port 2 the switch will do
a restore to default
7.3 Software Management
This section facilitates an update of the firmware controlling the switch.

After the image is uploaded, a page announces that the firmware update is initiated. After a
few moments, the software/firmware is updated and the switch restarts.
Warning: While the firmware is being updated, Web access appears to be defunct.
The front LED flashes Green/Off with a frequency of 10 Hz while the firmware update
is in progress. Do not restart or power off the device at this time or the switch
may fail to function afterwards.
Software Image Select
This section provides information about the active and alternate (backup) firmware images in the
device and allows you to revert to the alternate image. The web page displays two tables with
information about the active and alternate firmware images.

Select the type of image file to upload:

SW only: ASIC image only (file_name.gz)

FPGA only: FPGA image only (file_name.rbf)

All: a combined file
Browse to the location of the image file and click Select.
