Replacing the cutter
When the cutter becomes worn it can cause ragged cuts and could
cause the carrier to jam. Replace it after about 200 cuts. It may need to
be replaced more frequently if very heavy media such as canvas is used
often.
To remove the cutter:
1.
Select Access Cartridges in the printer's software control panel. Wait
until the carrier stops moving.
CAUTION! Handle the cutter carefully! The knife is on the bottom of the
cutter. It knife is spring-loaded and very sharp, and can cause personal
injury if mishandled.
2.
Raise the printer's top cover.
3.
Push the knife latch down and pull the cutter out of the carrier.
4.
Insert a new cutter by sliding it into the slot in the left side of the carrier
until it clicks into place.
5.
Select Access Cartridges in the printer's software control panel to return
the carrier to the service station.
6.
Close the printer's top cover.
