Measured diastolic blood pressure
is below the set lower alarm limit
NIBP measurement cannot be
carried out
Internal NIBP module defective
Blood pressure cannot be
measured and displayed as it is
outside the device's measuring
range
NIBP module unable to detect a
pulse wave signal
Pressure in the NIBP cuff is too
high for too long

Remedy
If medically indicated, carry out
suitable treatment.
Adapt alarm limits
(see 10.3.1, p.
255).
Make sure that the patient lies
still during the measurement.
Rule out the risk of patient
vibration.
Use a suitable size of NIBP
cuff.
Ensure that the NIBP cuff is
properly attached.
Ensure that there is no
clothing between the NIBP
cuff and the patient.
Have the device repaired.
Use an alternative blood pressure
measurement device with a larger
measuring range.
Make sure that the patient lies
still during the measurement.
Rule out the risk of patient
vibration.
Use a suitable size of NIBP
cuff.
Ensure that the NIBP cuff is
properly attached.
Ensure that there is no
clothing between the NIBP
cuff and the patient.
Remove the NIBP cuff from the
patient. Have the device repaired.
