배기 가스 색이 비정상적일 때

희거나 푸른 연기가 나올 때
엔진이 저온 상태에서 운전되고 있는지를
확인한다.
엔진이 장기간 저부하 운전되고 있는지를
확인한다.
일부 실린더가 불연소되는지를 확인한다.
최고 연소 압력이 너무 낮은지 점검한다.
피스톤 링이 파손 또는 손상 되었는지 점
검한다.
검거나 갈색 연기가 나올 때
연료의 품질을 검사한다.
배기 가스 온도를 검사한다.
연료 밸브를 분사 시험기로 검사한다.

흡기 및 배기 밸브가 막혀있는지 점검한다.
터보과급기가 오염되어 있는지 점검한다.
연료 소모가 지나치게 많을 때
