첫 시동 후의 재점검

엔진 설치, 장시간 미사용 또는 정비 후에 엔진을
처음으로 운전할 경우, 엔진 부하를 올리기 전에 엔
진 구동 부분의 상태를 다시 점검하여야 한다.
약 5분간 무 부하로 운전 후 엔진을 정지시킨
다.
엔진 블록의 커버를 개방하여 내부 구동부 관
련부품에 대해 비정상적인 마찰에 의한 과열
여부를 점검한다.
각종 베어링(메인, 빅 엔드, 스몰 엔드, 캠 샤프
트, 발전기), 기어 휠, 캠과 롤러를 검사하고,
비 접촉식 (적외선 방식)의 온도 측정 장치로
표면 온도를 측정한다.
다시 시동을 걸어 약 30분간 무 부하 상태로 엔
진을 가동시킨다. 그 다음 엔진을 멈추고, 위에서 언
급한 방법으로 구동부 관련 부품을 재점검한다.

3. Rechecking after Initial Starting
For the case of first starting after installation or
a period of standstill or overhaul, it is strongly
required to check the condition of engine rotating
parts again before loading up the engine.
Stop the engine after idle running for about 5
minutes.
Open the covers on engine block to inspect
the internal sliding parts for abnormal
overheating due to friction.
Inspect bearings (for main, big end, small
end, camshaft, and alternator), gear wheels,
cams and rollers visually and check surface
temperatures by means of hand touch or
non- contact type (infrared ray type)
temperature measuring devices.
Start again and run the engine for about 30
minutes at idle speed, then stop the engine and
repeat the inspection of internal sliding parts as
same manner as above mentioned.
