일반적으로, 링크장치를 조정할 필요는 없다. 그러나
만일 새로운 가버너 또는 새로운 연료 분사 펌프를
설치하거나 또는 연료의
링크장치의 움직임을
유자격자에 의해 재조정되어야 한다.
가버너 터미날 샤프트의 팔 길이(arm length)는
가버너와 각 연료 랙과의 기계적 연결 비율에 영향을
준다. 일반적으로 팔 길이는 80%의 가버너 인덱스가
약 100% 부하 시의
일치하도록 조정된다.
가버너를 새 것으로 교체할 때에는, 가버너의 게인 값
조정을 점검해야 하며, 헌팅을 억제하기 위해서 반드시
조정되어야 하는데, 이 작업은 가버너 메이커에서만 할
수 있다. 터미날 샤프트의 팔 길이도 역시 점검 및
재조정되어야 한다.
하나 또는 몇 개의 연료 분사 펌프를 새로운 것으로
교체할 때에는, 연료 랙 인덱스를 조정해야 할 필요가
있다. 왜냐하면 새로운 연료 분사 펌프는 일반적으로
다른 실린더의 사용된
분사하기 때문이다. 이것은 실린더 사이의 불균등한
연소를 초래한다. 최고 연소 압력과 모든 실린더의
배기 가스 온도를 점검한다.
편차가 과도하면, 레버를 풀어 연료 랙을 조정해야
한다.

Normally, it is not necessary to adjust the linkages.
However, if a new governor or new fuel injection
pumps installed or the quality of fuel oil changed
significantly, the movement of linkages should be
checked and readjusted by a qualified person.
The arm length of governor terminal shaft influences
the mechanical link ratio between the governor and
every fuel rack. In general, the arm length shall be

adjusted in such a way that governor index of 80%
matches to the fuel rack index corresponding to 100%
load approximately.
When replacing the governor with new one, the
gain values of governor should be checked and
adjusted to avoid hunting, which should be carried out
only by governor maker. The arm length of terminal
shaft also should be checked and readjusted if
necessary.
When replacing one or some fuel injection
pumps with new one(s), fuel rack index may be
adjusted. Because a new fuel injection pump normally
injects more fuel than worn pumps of other cylinders,
which results in unbalanced combustion between
cylinders. Check maximum cylinder press-ures and
exhaust gas temperatures of all cylinders. If the
deviations between cylinders are excessive then fuel
rack should be adjusted by means of loosening the
lever.

The adjustment of fuel linkage system
should be carried out only by qualified and experience-
ed personnel. Maladjustment may cause the engine
overload and result serious accidents.
