정상 운전
화재 예방 조치
기관실, 특히 엔진 주변은 항상 청결한 상태로 유지해
서 화재 가능성을 미리 예방하고 누유 또는 기타 비정상
적 현상을 쉽게 확인할 수 있어야 한다.
엔진을 운전하기 전이나 정비작업 후에는 엔진과 그
주변의 청결 상태를 수시로 확인하고 이상이 없어야 한
다.
특히 엔진이 운전 중이거나 용접과 같이 스파크를 유
발하는 수리작업 중에는 기관실에 폭발성 가스나 인화성
액체가 있어서는 안 된다.
고온 주의 !
엔진 및 주변 기기들이 작동중인 경우 또는 엔진이 충
분히 식지 않은 경우나 순환가스나 유체가 완전히 빠져
나오기 전까지 어떠한 경우에도 커버를 열거나 나사를
풀어서는 안되며 이는 고온의 가스나 유체를 유출 시킬
수 있다.
전문가를 제외하고는 손으로 온도를 직접 감지하는 것
은 금물이다. 엔진 표면의 온도를 확인하기 위해서는 비
접촉 적외선 타입의 온도계를 사용하는 것이 바람직하다.
동파주의
엔진이 가동되지 않고 기관실 내의 온도가 0℃ 이하
로 낮아질 때는, 엔진, 펌프, 냉각기, 그리고 파이프 시스
템 내의 냉각수를 외부로 완전히 배출시켜 동파를 방지
해야 한다.

Fire Precaution
Engine room, especially around the engine should
be kept always clean and bright to avoid any
possibility of fire and for easier checking of fuel
leakage or any abnormalities.
Cleanness of the engine and below floor plate
around the engine should be checked frequently and
ensured before the engine operating and after
maintenance work.
Engine room should be always free from any
explosive gases or inflammable fluid especially
during engine running or any repair works which
cause spark such as welding work or similar.
Hot !
Opening of covers or loosening of some screws is
not allowed during operation of the engine or related
machineries or before ensuring the engine cooled
and fluid circuits drained, which may cause escape of
hot gas or fluid.
Temperature sensing by hand touch is not allowed
only except for authorized personnel. Non-contact
infrared type thermometer is recommendable for
checking surface temperature of the engine body
Freezing
When the engine is out of service and the
temperature in the engine room is below the freezing
point (0℃), the water in the engine, pumps, coolers,
and pipe systems should be drained to prevent
freezing.
