실린더 라이너 및 워터 자켓
실린더 라이너 및 워터 쟈켓
실린더 라이너는 높은 마모 저항성을 가지기 위해 특
수 합금 주철로 제작되었으며, 라이너는 워터 쟈켓으로
둘러 쌓인 상부만 청수로 냉각된다.
플레임 링은 실린더 라이너의 상부에 장착되며 카본
침적물 뿐만 아니라 피스톤 크라운의 과도한 윤활유를
긁어내고, 윤활유의 소모를 감소시키는 역할도 한다.
워터 쟈켓은 구상흑연주철로 제작되었으며, 엔진 블록
위에 설치된다. 워터 쟈켓에는 실린더 사이의 냉각수 통
로와 엔진 블록에서 실린더 헤드까지의 연소 공기 통로
를 포함하고 있다. 워터 쟈켓은 또한 윤활유 공급용 통로
가 가공되어 있으며, 이 통로를 통해 그림 1과 같이 엔진
블록으로부터 공급된 윤활유가 실린더 헤드, 스윙 암 및
연료 분사 펌프로 공급된다.
실린더 라이너와 워터 쟈켓을 엔진에서 분해할
때마다, 손상 또는 비정상적인 마모나 불순물이 있는지를 주의
깊게 점검해야 하며, 엔진에 조립하기 전에 이것들을 철저히 세
척해야 합니다.

Cylinder Liner and Water Jacket
Cylinder liner is made of special alloy cast iron for
high wear resistance, which is cooled by fresh water
only on upper part surrounded by water jacket.
Flame ring is mounted on the upper part of the
cylinder liner and scrapes carbon deposit as well as
excessive lubricating oil on piston crown, which
contributes to reduce lubricating oil consumption.
Water jacket is made of ductile cast iron and
mounted on the engine block. The water jacket
provides not only cooling water flow channel between
cylinders but also combustion air passage from
engine block to cylinder head. The water jacket also
has drilled holes for lubricating oil passage, where
lubricating oil flows in from engine block and flows
out to cylinder head, swing arms and fuel injection
pump as shown in fig. 1

Whenever cylinder liner and water jacket
dismantled from the engine, inspect carefully if there is
any damage or abnormal wear or deposits. Clean them
thoroughly before remounting on the engine.
