Safety Clamp Fitment (
The primary administration set's safety clamp fitment is a
unique clamping device, on the pumping segment, that
prevents inadvertent free-flow when the administration set is
removed from the instrument.
Safety Clamp Fitment in Open Position
When a new Alaris
®
administration set is removed from the package, the safety
clamp fitment is in the open position (white slide clamp aligned
with blue fitment). In this open position, flow is not occluded
but is allowed as required for the priming process. The roller
clamp is used to control flow during the priming process.

damaged, causing leakage.
Replace Needle-Free Valve
