5. Lower drive head and lock plunger in place with plunger
grippers.
a. Twist gripper control clockwise and hold in position.
b. While holding gripper control in open position, gently
lower drive head until it makes contact with plunger
flange.
c. Gently release gripper control.
d. Ensure plunger grippers lock and hold plunger in
place.
NOTE:
The gripper control is spring loaded. When twisted to the
open position and then released, it (and the plunger grippers)
will return to the closed position.

Security Lock Key Positions

There are 3 key positions associated with the security lock:
• unlocks security door. Key must be in this
UNLOCK
position when loading or changing a syringe.
• allows for changes in programming without
PROGRAM
unlocking security door or interrupting current infusion.
• locks security door. Key must be in this position to
LOCK
start an infusion.
