Checking the error
Turn the power off and open the front
cover.
Check the CTD (ADC) Sensor and if it
is dirty, wipe it with a clean dry cloth or
a cotton swab.
Close the front cover when work is
complete.
Does the error still occur after turning
the power on?
Checking the belt of the TRANSFER
ASSY
Open the COVER ASSY FRONT.
Is there any damage on the belt surface
of the TRANSFER ASSY?
Call the DELL and replace the
TRANSFER ASSY.
Work before troubleshooting.
Check the protection sheet on the PHD ASSY.
if there is the protection sheet, remove it.

Checking after reseating the TONER CARTRIDGE
(M)
Reseat the TONER CARTRIDGE (M), and check
that the lock key is in the lock position.
Does the error still occur when the power is turned
off and on?
Checking after replacing the PHD UNIT.
Replace the PHD UNIT. (Refer to Removal 4/
Replacement 50.)
