Enabling Redfish Services
You can enable or disable the Redfish services to manage the device through the Redfish API. By default,
this service is enabled.
Enabling Redfish services allows you to retrieve the following details.
•

configuration details, such as thresholds, names, etc.
•
•
metric readings
•
•
event polling
It also allows you to do the following actions
•
•
power actions
•
•
unit control, such as restart

To enable or disable Redfish:
Choose Device Settings > Network Services > Redfish.
Enabling Service Advertising
The PRO4X advertises all enabled services that are reachable using the IP network. This feature uses
DNS-SD (Domain Name System-Service Discovery) and MDNS (Multicast DNS). The advertised services
are discovered by clients that have implemented DNS-SD and MDNS.
The advertised services include the following:

SNMP
By default, this feature is enabled.
