6E3-26 ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM (J18 ENGINE WITHOUT WU TWC)
CODE NO. 22 TP SENSOR (THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR) CIRCUIT
(SIGNAL VOLTAGE LOW)
Disconnect TP sensor coupler with ignition switch OFF.
With ignition switch ON, is voltage applied to "P" wire terminal
of TP sensor coupler about 4.75 – 5.25 V?
Check TP sensor referring to "TP SENSOR" in this section.
Is it in good condition?
Intermittent trouble or faulty ECM.
Recheck referring to "INTERMITTENT AND POOR CON-
NECTION" in Section 0A.
NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform final check, referring to "FINAL CHECK" in this section to
confirm that the trouble has been corrected.

TP sensor
"P" wire open, "P" wire shorted to ground circuit or "Or" wire,
or poor A7 connection.
If wire and connection are OK, substitute a known-good
ECM and recheck.
Poor TP sensor coupler connection or faulty TP sensor.
