6E3-54 ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM (J18 ENGINE WITHOUT WU TWC)
B-14 ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SIGNAL CHECK (A/T VEHICLE
ONLY)
STEP
1 Turn ignition switch ON and check voltage between
"Gr/B" wire terminal of TCM coupler and body ground
as engine coolant temperature changes and confirm
it is as specified below.
Is check result satisfactory?

ACTION YES
Signal circuit is in good
condition.
Engine coolant temperature
1. ECM
2. TCM
NO
Check each wire
harness, circuit
connection and ECT
sensor.
If they are OK, replace
ECM.
1. TCM coupler connected
2. "Gr/B" wire terminal
