3. Disconnect both ends of the fiber optic jumper cable.
4. Clean the fiber optic connectors
5. Reconnect the fiber optic jumper cable.
6. Unblock the port
7. Monitor port operation for approximately five minutes.

cable to a spare port.

2. Repair the attached device if a failure is indicated.
