Avaya P330 Layer 2 CLI Commands
If negotiation is disabled, the user can set the speed and duplex of the Fast Ethernet
ports.
For Fiber Gigbit Ethernet ports it can determine the flow control (pause) mode only.
Copper ports in the P332GT-ML can work at 1000Mbps (Full Duplex) only if
autonegotiation is enabled on both cable ends and you are using a 4 pair (8
wires) Ethernet cable. If autonegotiation is disabled, these ports can only work
at 100Mbps (Full Duplex), and autonegotiation should be disabled on both cable
ends.
The syntax for this command is:
set port negotiation <module>/<port> {enable|disable}

Example:
To disable autonegotiation on port 1, module 4:
P330-N# set port negotiation 4/1 disable
Link negotiation protocol disabled on port 4/1.

set port point-to-point admin status

User level: privileged, supervisor.
Use the set port
RSTP point-to-point admin status.
The syntax for this command is:
set port
status>
module/
port
admin

Number of the switch. If you do not specify a number, the ports
on all the switches are shown.
Number of the port on the module.
You can also specify a range of ports separated by a dash, for
example, 4/5-13 for ports 5 to 13 on module 4.
Enable port negotiation protocol
Disable port negotiation protocol
point-to-point admin status command to set the port
point-to-point admin status <module/port> <admin
Port identifier
force-true - treat this port as if it is connected point-to-point
force-false - treat this port as if it is connected to shared media
auto - try to automaticaly detect the connection type of the port
