Setup and Configuration

In complex legacy networks, RIP, OSPF, BGP and IS-IS may all be active on the same router at the

same time. Typically, however, only one dynamic routing protocol is employed at one time.

Configuring IS-IS

To configure dynamic routing with IS-IS, do the following:

Change the mode to Edit Private or Edit Exclusive.

Navigate to routing » dynamic » isis. The IS-IS Configuration form appears.

1. Enabled Check Box

Select the Enabled check box.

Associate the device with one or more areas in the IS-IS network by defining area tags. For more
