D. Cleaning the Separation Drum Sheet

1. Outline

The transfer drum sheet uses static charges to keep and move copy paper and, as such, it is
subject to adhesion of foreign matter. The presence of foreign matter on the transfer drum sheet can
soil the back of copy paper and can lead to an attraction fault or transfer fault.
To prevent such a problem, the transfer drum sheet is cleaned as follows:
Type
Normal cleaning
(including double-sided
copying)
Special cleaning
Reference:
The copier uses a limited amount of fixing oil, and therefore is not equipped with a cleaning
mechanism operated by an oil removing roller.
