IV. CONTROLLING THE REGISTRATION/
ATTRACTION MECHANISM
A. Outline
After pickup, copy paper is moved by the pre-registration rollers 1 and 2, and is caused to arch
at the registration roller for removal of the skew. Then, it is moved as far as the attraction roller,
which serves to keep the copy paper against the transfer drum sheet.
The rotation and locking/unlocking of the registration roller and the rotation of the attraction
roller are driven by the main motor and through their respective solenoids/clutches.
