2. Detecting the Presence/Absence of Paper
The presence/absence of copy paper inside the cassette is detected by the cassette paper sensor.

3. Detecting the Level of Paper

The copier uses the resistance occurring in the variable resistor operating in conjunction with
the movement of the lifter drive shaft to detect the level of copy paper inside the cassette. It
indicates the result in four levels (including absence of paper) on its control panel.
