Removing and Installing the 4FE Card
To install a 4FE card in the IDS-4215, follow these steps:
Prepare the appliance to be powered off:
Step 1
sensor# reset powerdown
Wait for the power down message before continuing with Step 2.
Step 2 Power off the appliance.
Step 3 Remove the power cord and other cables from the appliance.
Place the appliance in an ESD-controlled environment.

Remove the chassis cover.

Step 6 Loosen the two captive screws from the back cover plate on the left and put the
back cover plate aside.
Step 7 Insert the 4FE card through the cage opening and into the lower slot.
