For the "Electronic Attenuation" parameter, when the "Auto Range" is ON the entire
frequency range of the analyzer is scanned to determine the total power applied to the
analyzer. The RF input attenuation is then automatically set to ensure that the analyzer
input is not overloaded.
For the "Internal Preamplifier" parameter, turning on the preamp gives a better noise
figure, but a decreased TOI to noise floor dynamic range. So when the "Auto Range" is ON,
the instrument will optimize this setting.
